As Chief Financial Officer, Barry Capoot leads the IQNavigator Finance and Accounting organization. Capoot draws on deep financial experience to align strategic initiatives and secure optimal financial results. Capoot joined IQNavigator in 2015.
Capoot brings more than 22 years of corporate finance and accounting experience including senior leadership positions in the financial services, software and manufacturing sectors. Prior to IQNavigator, Barry was CFO for Genesis Water, a technology company specializing in dewatering. He also served as CFO for Grant Victor, LLC, and a network of retail ATM companies. He has been a key contributor to corporate success, including developing financial reporting processes, serving as a key decision maker in significant capital allocation projects and providing senior counsel in contract negotiations. He also served as CFO for Diamond Wire Technology and Rivet Software. Prior to his operational roles, Capoot spent nearly 10 years in investment banking, executing a variety of middle-market mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. He began his career as a CPA at Ernst & Young and as an analyst at Bank of America.
Barry holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University, an MS in Accountancy from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has served on multiple not-for-profit boards, including the Alumni Board at Kent Denver School, Social Venture Partners, the Associate Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and Colorado SIDS Program.
